Description

Use this cute and fun Pumpkin Seed Journal for an interactive fall activity with your students!

This journal will help your students record their findings as they count seeds from various pumpkins!

Here are the CCSS:
CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.NBT.A.1.A
100 can be thought of as a bundle of ten tens — called a "hundred.”

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.NBT.A.2
Count within 1000; skip-count by 5s, 10s, and 100s.

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.NBT.A.3
Read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form.


Here are the objectives:
Students will be able to...

*estimate the amount of seeds in one or more pumpkins
*skip count
*write numbers in base ten numeral form, expanded form, and number name form
*bundle seeds in groups of 2, 5, or 10s
*work cooperatively and record their observations as a group
