Description

This pdf lesson plan takes your youngest students step-by-step through the process of creating a pumpkin patch collage using the secondary colors. They will learn about the horizon line, overlapping, foreground, middle ground, and background while mixing purple, orange, green, and brown. The project is six 30 minute concept-packed sessions. I added a quiz, links to fun and engaging short videos to teach art concepts, and a pacing guide. I use this lesson with kindergarten and it's always a big success.

UPDATE: I just added an easel activity to help your students practice painting, outlining, and overlapping digitally before they create physically.
