Famous Failures is a public speaking activity where students write an INSPIRATIONAL SPEECH. Students create speeches on overcoming failure. This includes a teacher guide with Google links, an overview presentation with video links on failures by inspirational people, digital student feedback notebook, student note sheet, graphic organizer, and rubric. This is NO PREP or minimal prep, if you change the editable PowerPoints. It's a perfect public speaking activity for speech classes or ELA public speaking lessons. Everything you need to set up an inspirational speech is here. This would work great as a sub-plan too. *I recently used this with my speech and debate students and I was blown away with their speeches. I even had them present to other classes, they were that good! :)
