    Psychology Unit: Learning and Memory- 10 day bundle

    This is a great interactive 10 day unit on learning and memory. Here is the breakdown for the 10 day bundle:

    ✏️Day 1: Ivan Pavlov and classical conditioning- This is an interactive Google Slides lesson that will help you provide a more in-depth understanding of Ivan Pavlov and his findings around classical conditioning. Students will start with ideas of Pavlov including the four main components of classical conditioning: unconditioned stimulus, unconditioned response, conditioned stimulus, and conditioned response. Students will also learn about taste aversion, both conditioned and unconditioned. Other concepts in the lesson will also be covered such as: extinction, generalization, discrimination and flooding. This lesson is designed for maximum engagement and can be personalized by you to best suit your classroom and the students needs. I hope you enjoy this lesson as much as I have!

    ✏️Day 2 and 3: B. F. Skinner and Operant Conditioning-This lessons covers B.F. Skinner and his findings around operant conditioning. In this lesson students will learn about positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, positive punishment, and negative punishment. Students will also be able to check their understanding with examples and an interactive chart.  This lesson is designed to be personalized by you to best suit your classroom and the students needs. I hope you enjoy this lesson as much as I have!

    ✏️Day 4: John Watson and classical conditioning. Students will learn about Watson’s research and how it was different than Pavlov’s. Students will then learn all the detail from the Little Albert Study and the detail and effects of the study. Students will wrap up the lesson with moree scenarios of modern classical conditioning.

    ✏️Day 5: Positive and negative reinforcement and punishment. This lesson will teach students about the differences between positive punishment and negative punishment. Students will also review positive and negative reinforcement and show their understanding by identifying which type of learning is being displayed by various scenarios.

    Day 6: Researching classical and operant conditioning. This is a fantastic lesson that will allow students to practice their understanding of classical and operant conditioning by creating a teaching slide of the concept.

    ✏️Day 7: The 4 partial reinforcement schedules and observational learning.
    This lesson that will allow students to review and practice their understanding of the 4 partial reinforcement schedules (variable-interval schedules, variable-interval schedules, fixed-ratio schedules and variable-ratio schedules.) students will also learn about continuous and partial reinforcement and where they might see this in the real world. Next, students will learn about Albert Bandura and the Bobo Doll experiment and his findinging on observational learning.

    ✏️Day 8 and 9: Introduction to Memory- This is a fantastic 2 day lesson covers: short term memory, long term memory, explicit memories, implicit memories, 3 quick experiments for students to test their memory, examples of memory retrieval strategies and a poster project.
