Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs: First came the Ancient Egyptian Pyramids of Giza, but then in 1943, the most famous pyramid of them all was BORN! Humanistic psychologist, Abraham Maslow published, “A Theory of Human Motivation,” describing five stages of growth in humans, and most commonly presented as a pyramid. This worksheet begins with a description of Human Motivation Theory, and a graphic of its five stage pyramid. Worksheet prompts students to label real life examples and finally ends with examples from their own lives.
