This resource contains a standards-based unit in both printable PDF and Google Slides versions - so it's the perfect activity to increase engagement and interest for the classroom or distance learning. Students follow instructions to pick a party theme (create a table, evaluate data), complete food planning (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division word problems), buy bottled water (money word problems), buy paper plates (money problems), rent chairs (money word problems), arrange tables (planning area), plan activities (money word problems), finalize plans (time and money word problems), and take care of last-minute details (word problems and drawing models). Additional "challenge activities" engage students and develop further understanding of the concepts and skills.
