What educators are saying

I have one student that absolutely loves these cards. He will look for them if I don’t have them out. We go through them and focus on the pictures and what is happening. They are fun.
Easy to use. And who doesn't love Boom Cards?! We use them everyday, so it was great to add to our SEL lessons.

Description

This resource targets basic problem solving of interoception processes, or PHYSICAL SENSATIONS of the body such as hunger, thirst, nausea, etc. Students will USE CONTEXT (both written and picture) to LABEL 10 different states of being and identify how to MANAGE them.

This activity helps students with the FUNCTIONAL SKILLS of...

Recognizing their own body senses and

Determining ways to regulate them

Each of the 10 interoceptive sensations (hot, awake, hungry, tired, thirsty, sick, cold, full, energetic, nauseated) has 3 SECTIONS so the student can really develop a deeper understanding.

✅ Using a brief scenario and picture, students LABEL THE PHYSICAL FEELING from a set of 4 choices.

✅ Students identify how to SOLVE OR MANAGE THE PROBLEM from a set of 4 possible choices.

✅ Students THINK OF A PERSONAL EXAMPLE of a time when they felt that way (and what they did or could have done).

You won't waste time printing this activity! It includes 2 digital formats that can be quickly accessed on any device for in-person or teletherapy!

⚡An INTERACTIVE PDF can be opened on any PDF reader software (such as Adobe Reader) or iPad app.

⚡A BOOM CARDS DECK can be played in a session or sent for homework. Get a closer look with this FREE PREVIEW!

This activity will draw students in from the start with its...

✅ Bright and colorful IMAGES

✅ Clickable answer & navigation BUTTONS and fillable TEXT BOXES

REALISTIC SCENARIOS that students can relate to

✅ Opportunities for students to make PERSONAL CONNECTIONS

Use this interactive tool to help you target basic problem solving... functionally! Students will improve upon important regulation skills that will help them in real-life situations.
