Description
Make paper chain snakes based on real python species from Australia's Daintree Rainforest.
This printable python pack includes a template for both the Green Tree Python and the Jungle Carpet Python, as well as a blank template so kids can design their own snake pattern with felt tip markers, paints or crayons.
To create the snakes you will need to print the desired template to coloured construction paper, cut out the links along with the head and tail pieces and create a paper chain alternating one "side link" with each "top and tummy" link. To complete the craft there is a sheet of eyes and tongues to be printed to white paper (8 sets per page) which can be coloured in and glued on.
This would be a suitable paper craft for a unit on rainforest animals, reptiles or Australian animals. It also makes a fun STEM or STEAM project.
