Description

A phenomenal winter research project all about the presidents. Use this President Guided Research Project for upper elementary and middle school students. Guide your students through the research process with clear student directions that show them how to organize their research. Begin this winter project in January so that it is completed by President's Day in February. Students will be able to present their President Project to the class in honor of February's President's Day.

Do the Research!

Students have the option of creating a digital version or a printable mini book that they can write in. (All directions given and a template for the printable mini book is provided)

Research is organized into 9 sections with guiding questions to model how to look for information and the important facts to include in a well written project. Students will answer the questions and before they know it, they have a complete research assignment. It is great for your beginner researchers!

Get Creative!

Students will also use the creative side of their brain and make a 3D model of their president (full directions and example pictures included) Show students examples of other President creations. They will love seeing them and it will also inspire them to create their own. (All pictures are provided along with a list of household materials used)

Also Included:

  • Grading Rubric
  • Parent Letter
  • Digital & Printable Versions
  • sign to hang when projects are displayed

Celebrate this President's Day with a deeper look inside our former presidents!

This resource can be used multiple times as students can be assigned a new president each time. (There are so many to choose from.)

- OR - use it as a historical figure project and have students choose a person from history to research. The guiding questions are compatible. It can easily be altered to be used during Black History Month!
