Introduce your students to base words, prefixes, and suffixes using this set of base words & affixes for beginners practice sheets! Set of 11 practice sheets (with three anchor charts!) introduces students to the concept of base words being words we can add word parts to (prefixes and suffixes) to change the meanings. Packet then moves on to teach/review the meaning of common affixes and practice adding those affixes to base words. Packet culminates with students applying their new knowledge by writing sentences using words with affixes appropriately.

Set includes 11 practice sheets plus 3 anchor charts for teaching the concept. No instructional plans are included, simply print and use to support your own Common Core language instruction!
