Use this resource to help students learn to make a population pyramid digitally with Canadian census data. Students will learn to use Google Sheets™ in a simple way to turn data into a visual representation (population pyramid). This fully digital assignment is perfect for in-person, remote learning, and hybrid model classes.
In the accompanying project, students will choose a Canadian city/town to research. They will “think like a demographer” to identify and critically analyse strategies that could be used to help that city with its future needs. They will create a population pyramid for the city/town using 2021 Canadian census data and create a Google Slides™ that outlines all of their findings.
