Poetry Task Cards

Poetry Task Cards and Scavenger Hunt! This is a poetry activity to get your students moving around the classroom! This poetry scavenger hunt is the perfect activity that gets your students rhyming, counting syllables, reading poetry pieces, and using the thesaurus! These task cards are a perfect addition to any poetry unit of study. If you prefer, you may have your students use these poetry task cards at a learning center or for group work.

To use as a poetry scavenger hunt, place the task cards around the room in various locations. Without moving the poetry task cards, students must hunt for the poetry task cards and record their answers on their recording sheets. They might work independently or with a partner.
