Description
Sketch (Doodle) notes are the way to go for notetaking engagement and visual learners. (My middle schoolers get so excited to color!)
These sketch notes are specifically to review or give an overview of poetry. Key vocabulary includes: speaker, narrator, stanza, mood, and several important types of figurative language (allusion, metaphor, idiom). These notes include a Google Slide presentation of the words (making it a totally workable independent station or whole class notes activity).
This is a lot of information. This would be ideal as a review, introduction, or overview, and could be done over multiple days as you get to each component.
