Plot Diagram with Pixar's Digital Short

This is a video that uses Pixar's Digital short, "Lifted," to teach plot diagram. Within the 8 minute video, you'll see the entire Disney cartoon played out while a plot diagram is carefully being built around the action of the plot. Students can see the action of the story and where it fits in precisely on the plot diagram. See the sample for specific format.

At the end of the video, there is a list of student tips for how to effectively organize a short story on a plot diagram.

This works well to introduce plot diagram as well as review it. Students can see how plot diagram corresponds to other mediums besides our short story anthologies! I've had great success with this video as have many teachers who have requested it as well.
