My 1st and 2nd grade students loved making the flip books. It was the first time for some realizing that the foods they eat come from plants.

Description

Students will create a foldable to represent vegetables we eat plain as well as in the form of a new food. Foods included are tomatoes-ketchup, potato-french fries, cucumber-pickles, and corn-popcorn.

Pages 2-3: foldable guide(be sure to print double sided with the dotted cutting lines aligned!)
Page 4: food pictures
Page 5: food labels
Pages 6-7: labeled food cards (could be used as a pre-activity in a pocket chart for matching)
