Plant EduSketch™ Notes: Parts of Plants, Parts of Flowers, Plant Needs

These notes are highly visual, perfect for ELs, SpEd learners, and other visual learners. Three sets of sketchnotes cover:

• Parts of a Plant
• Parts of a Flower

Also included are two reading passages and two sets of short answer reading questions- one set to accompany each passage. The passages contain the information students need to complete the sketchnotes.

Passages, questions and notes are originally designed for newcomer English learners in a middle school sheltered science class, so the passages and questions are written in short, simple sentences with emphasis on academic vocabulary, but geared toward middle school content.

Even middle schoolers enjoy coloring the visuals after they've completed the rest of their work. These also make a great reference for students to use during other activities.
