What educators are saying

My students were begging to work on a seasonal PBL and this one fit the bill! I love that it is geared towards research because this is an area that can be challenging for students. The layout of the project makes the research process smooth and meaningful.

Description

In this fun (print + digital) winter project-based learning (PBL) activity for 3rd-6th grades, your students will use key standards in a real-life scenario as they plan a winter train ride from wherever they live to a fun, winter destination! This project is highly individualized and ties in student interests.

Outside research sources are required to complete this project. Suggestions for modifying the project are provided if you do not have access to 1:1 devices for your students and need to have students research using a different method.

One of the best parts about this project that reviews reading, multiplication, and addition is that differentiation is included!

Driving Question: How can I plan a winter train ride for my family from our city to a fun, seasonal location?

⭐️ Digital version included!

This is the perfect winter project because it does not mention Christmas anywhere in the project so you can use it with all students.
