Place Value Teaching Posters for Vocabulary and Language

Place value can be a tricky concept to teach students, especially those with language difficulties! This product was created for educators to use when teaching students who need more concrete and visual support. It includes vocabulary and concept posters (in color and black and white) as well as a set of manipulatives for students to visualize how numbers are layered and built.

Place Value Teaching Posters (pages 5-23 B&W / Pages 37-49 Color): Print the pages on cardstock and laminate for durability. These can be hung up in your room, inserted into page protectors and stored in a binder, or simply displayed on an iPad if you need a more mobile option.

Build your town! Layers (pages 24-36 B&W): Print the pages on cardstock, laminate for durability, and cut out the pictures. When cutting out the number pictures, just cut the horizontal strip (do not cut the sections into squares). You can use these strips to “build” your number by layering the strips from largest to smallest (ie. thousands to ones).
