Description
This is a story that will help students to understand place value. It personifies ones, thousands, millions, and billions and compares them to families. Following the story are several pages of group practice. There are then two independent practice sheets with answer sheets. I have taught place value with this method for years and it has never failed me yet. It simplifies it so that students can understand.
