TEACHERS LIKE YOU SAID:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “This resource really hits on all the important parts of place value. It's my go-to when I start the unit. Great resource!" (Jolene W.)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I am using this resource to tutor a rising 2nd grader. He is transitioning from fully-remote to in-person learning soon and this is helping him keep on his toes. He loves the "Be the Teacher" activity!" (Danielle C.)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “My students are missing a lot of important core standards from 1st as we had the Covid19 shutdown. We are back in school in person, but I have found that our regular curriculum is NOT enough to support these gaps. I appreciate your packet as I have used it as an additional resource for my students. Your resource provided them with the much needed visual component that our regular curriculum sometimes lacks. Thank you." (Rhonda S.)

Understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones. Understand the following as special cases:
10 can be thought of as a bundle of ten ones - called a “ten.”
The numbers from 11 to 19 are composed of a ten and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine ones.
The numbers 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 refer to one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine tens (and 0 ones).
Compare two two-digit numbers based on meanings of the tens and ones digits, recording the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, and <.
