Description

Inference and vocabulary with Pirates for upper grades!
This game may be played two different ways and is the perfect activity to engage your upper grade students! It's CC aligned for grades 4-7, but I've been using it with my 8th graders who have language needs and they have found it to be challenging and entertaining!

There are 24 inference cards related to the treasure search. The entertaining theme arouses competitive interest. Higher level vocabulary is included in each inference card which encourages students to use prior knowledge and sentence cues to deduct word meaning. Definition and answer pages are included.

Happy Buyers Said:

"Great product! We used these at a reading night for our elementary. These were perfect for the students who could use an extension. They loved them!"

"This is a great product for learning new vocabulary terms and utilizing the strategy of "context clues." I am a middle school SLP and have used this game with 6th and 7th graders. I may use the cards with 8th graders, without using the reinforcements and tokens."
