"Piggy Rap" Shared Reading to the Beat (Ordinal Numbers)

This zipped file contains an Mp3 version of an all-time favorite of the "Debbie's Ditties" Collection. Debbie Clement's "Piggy Rap" is filled with a driving beat, a comical cartoon like pig with sound effects and is based on the popular nursery rhyme 'This Little Piggy.'

The sophistication of the musical arrangement and the density of the vocabulary makes it a BIG hit w-e-l-l beyond the nursery rhyme age. It has been performed on stage from coast-to-coast and is now available for immediate download as a single.

There is a nine-slide Powerpoint presentation included in the zipped file, with the introduction, all 5 of the pig verses and the big call and response ending. The Powerpoint is intended to be projected for a shared reading experience. The lyrics of the rap are designed to emphasize ordinal positions and the pigs are referred to as the: first, second, third, fourth and fifty.

The custom created graphics are included on a simple matching pdf to support fine motor development.
