As part of our morning work, along with Math & Grammar, students must free write in their Writers’ Journals. Students use the photo for inspiration and create a story about how that hamster got in the sandwich….or what happened after the giant bubble popped?

You may also want to assign a group or the whole class to particular photos and then print out the photo and stories for an outstanding bulletin board or class book.
