How did you determine the scope and sequence?

I created this scope and sequence based on my teaching experience, my Orton-Gillingham training, and extensive research.

Does this resource align with the science of reading?

Absolutely. The science of reading is a body of research related to the teaching of reading. Research tells us that all students benefit from systematic, explicit phonics instruction. The scope and sequence and accompanying word lists are necessary tools for planning strong phonics lessons.
