Phonics Lesson PowerPoints Lesson Bundle - Phonics & Beeyond

This comprehensive phonics activities bundle contains all you need to explicitly teach phonics knowledge in a K-2 classroom. This bundle contains thousands of slides that will help you to implement a synthetic phonics approach that is aligned with the evidence-based science of reading.

This bundle will complement any synthetic phonics program, and includes everything you need for explicit K-2 phonics lessons.

Each slideshow will contain a learning progression that includes:

- Introduction to metalanguage

- Interactive activities (click to hear sounds, spin a sound, follow the star to demonstrate correct letter formation)

- Phoneme/sound recognition activities

- Word blending

- High-frequency word focus (heart words)

- Decodable sentences (using the taught sounds and high frequency words)

- Thumbs up/Thumbs Down

- Trash or treasure with nonsense words

- Missing beginning, middle and end sound

- Find the missing sound

- Phoneme frames

- Later slides include 'does it look right?' or pick the correct spelling activities.

- Sentence editing

These slideshows can be edited to include your own state font. You can also cut/paste slides to suit your lesson needs. Each slideshow is designed to be used over a few weeks to introduce, teach and reinforce each set of sounds. Students use whiteboards to record sounds, words and sentences.
