Description

Use this phonics packet one-on-one with students. It quickly finds and teaches words students cannot read and/or spell, including homophones.

I organized the 1,000 most used words in American English by letter length. I used this list to start quizzing students and find words they didn't know. Then I made charts for most of the spelling patterns to teach students the patterns they didn't know. After that, I painstakingly embedded links into each word, so you can click on the misspelled part of the word and be directed to the chart with other words that share that pattern. I added printable certificates for students that learn all 1,000 words at the end of the packet.

This packet can also be used for teaching students how to read different phonemic patterns. It is designed for grades K-5, but older students would benefit from this packet and ESL students of all ages!
