    If you have older students who are behind in their reading, they likely have missing phonics instruction. Simply download the PDF files, print and use. Full instructions are included for these easy-to-implement worksheets and activities. Even if you have never taught phonics, you can do this.

    • Read the words with sound underlined.
    • Fill in the missing sound.
    • Copy the words.
    • Re-read the words before reading the passage
    • Read the supported, sound-underlined passage.
    • Re-read the passage without line support.
    • Answer the simple questions.
    • Make a note of any tricky words.
    • Match up the words.
    • Find the definition of the word.

    • Write sentences using the words learned.
