Why should you use decodable, text reading passages?

Struggling readers and dyslexics benefit from reading decodable text through repeated practice of reading the sounds being taught. Teaching with this scaffolded approach ensures that your student is not guessing at unknown words. They will quickly build skill and fluency and ultimately – confidence! Once students have learned the sounds, they will be able to advance onto more complex text with confidence.

My resources provide an abundance of opportunities for students to see, say, read, write and spell words with the sounds being taught. Every opportunity to add relevant words into the text is seized so that your students can really secure learning. At the same time, difficult words are used sparingly. That way, students can really focus on what they need to learn. They are free from babyish images and words.
