Description
This budget simulation will ask your students to imagine they are 25-30 years old and are now in the workforce.
The difference between THIS unit and others out there is that the Google Spreadsheet and Tools to calculate budget categories are much more realistic.
Students will pick a career, housing, transportation options, and much much more. This has been one of my most impactful, engaging units ever! I created it because I couldn't find anything like it on the internet!
Multiple worksheets and steps walk them through the process of brainstorming and identifying a career, figuring out their monthly paycheck, and then they will be given a Google Spreadsheet budget and they will calculate all the different categories of a budget using step-by-step stations.
Final Reflection and Rubric are included, as well as a helpful teacher guide. This unit can easily take students 2-4 weeks, depending on the level of students you teach.
