Description
Year-End Peer-To-Peer Observation (now on EASEL™) Worksheet 2023
Reflection Through Instruction to increase teacher effectiveness and student learning. Peer walk-through observation will allow teachers to observe their colleagues, identify best practices, collaborate on effective teaching techniques, and translate new and innovative ways of teaching and learning into their personal practice. The walk-through can be defined as a brief, structured, non-evaluative classroom observation by the principal that is followed by a conversation between the principal and the teacher about what was observed.
Purpose
The peer observation protocol is to establish guidelines and expectations for peer observations. Parts of this ebook have been borrowed from other sources to determine the most practical way to approach peer classroom observations – which make up the majority of a teacher's summative rating in most States, districts, and the world – it gives teachers the opportunity to receive meaningful and direct feedback about their practice. To gain the most from this peer observation protocol, the observing teacher must watch and reflect upon the instructional strategies and classroom management techniques present in the classroom or through online instruction. First, let's observe the many roles of stakeholders in peer observations:

Abstract
The protocol focused on peer observation and structured discussion around essential questions, expectations, reflections on practice, suggestions for specific teaching strategies, and revisions of the ways students were conceptualized. Peer observation of teaching is seen as a supportive and developmental process for improving the quality of pedagogy in schools. Receiving feedback is perceived to be useful but not more beneficial than watching a peer teach. We discuss the implications of our results for units and institutions planning to implement peer observation as part of a strategic approach to improve the quality of learning and teaching for the student's purpose to perform better academically.
