There are six frames to choose from when writing a narrative summary, and six frames to choose from when writing a informational summary. These frames will work with any text!!

What are paragraph frames?

Paragraph frames are a perfect support for students who have difficulty writing strong paragraphs. Paragraph frames guide students by providing them with transitional phrases for sentences.

How do I use paragraph frames?

1. Teach students the basics of paragraph writing

2. Discuss with students how to write a framed paragraph.

-Students will receive a blank paragraph frame

-Students will use their own thoughts to fill in the blanks of the frame.

-Students will re-read their completed paragraph and make changes so the paragraph will make sense.

-Students will re-write the completed paragraph on a blank sheet of paper.

3. Provide students with a blank frame, and allow them to work!
