Description

Now differentiated for students at the 2nd- 8th grade level

A new way to help your students learn to write strong, detailed paragraphs. The key to writing strong, interesting writing is the details. This model helps your student write a paragraph that will blow you and everyone else away. With the new Smarter Balanced Assessments coming, your students will need to be able to write clear explanations. This writing model provides a writing structure that leads to clear, strong writing.

This model is classroom, student tested. I have developed it over many years of teaching students to take state writing assessments. Writing on standardized assessments is getting to be more and more common. Here is a tool to help prepare your students.

This is a tool for your students to use all year long to write great paragraphs. The lessons last 7-10 days, but you can use the tools all year long to write great paragraphs.
The original model was designed for grades 3-5 but now the new differentiated model for students in 2nd through 8th grades. (I even used the model with my high school son to improve Writing SAT scores). Three levels are included:

Level A: 2nd grade through early 3rd grade
Level B: 3rd grade through early 4th grade
Level C: 4th grade through 8th grade

Each level is based on the same core model but as students move through the level the paragraphs lead to a different level of detail. This packet includes all three levels for easy differentiation within the classroom. Great for today’s classrooms that include students at all different levels especially with their writing. Meet all of your students where they are now!

Once students have mastered writing paragraphs with this model, they can transform those great paragraphs into extraordinary essays. A preview for the upcoming essay writing model included in the packet.
