Paragraph Building - 24 Manipulative Paragraph Puzzles

This resource contains hands on manipulative paragraph building. 24 paragraphs can be built by early readers (kindergarten - first grade). To prepare these activities, I recommend copying them on card stock, cutting them apart and putting each paragraph in a separate drawer of a mini tool cabinet or into envelopes. Each sentence in the paragraphs is color-coded so student can build the paragraph from beginning to end independently. The 24 paragraphs sequentially become more difficult. The words in the paragraphs that may be difficult for early readers are illustrated for extra support. A work mat is included that can be laminated and used for students to organize their paragraphs. In addition, a recording sheet is included for students and teachers to keep track of progress. Check out the sample to see parts of this resource.
