What educators are saying

These were great reading passages to use with my 6th grade AIS students. They were able to read and answer a variety of reading comprehension questions.
What a great resource! I love these reading passages and the skills that are practiced with them. I have all of these types of passages because my students really find them engaging and interesting! They are so well done and I use them all year long. Thank you for such a great resource!

    Description

Imagine having paired texts for the entire year!!! This Paired Texts by the Season Bundle targets reading comprehension using two different passages, (one fiction and one nonfiction) on the same seasonal but non-holiday topic for fall, winter, and spring. The complete packet is loaded with 24 reading passages (12 sets of paired texts) including 6 historical, 6 scientific, 6 biographical, and 6 technical pieces.

Each passage has comprehension questions for each text that target a variety of reading strategies including main idea, context clues, cause and effect, and more. There is also a vocabulary practice page for each set which includes Latin/Greek roots, synonym - antonym, matching, and more.

There are double-sided paired texts that ask questions requiring the student to refer to both texts, to analyze, and combine information to formulate answers. Plus, three writing prompts (narrative, expository, and persuasive) are included for each set!

Paired texts can be challenging to find! I love that this set has everything you need to teach paired text right here. It is definitely a no prep tool for busy teachers and perfect for helping your readers grow!

Here are the units included in this Paired Texts by the Season Bundle:

Winter Paired Texts (Nonfiction to Fiction) for 4th - 6th Graders $8.00
