These no prep activities would be great for whole group, small group, or independent practice for your fluent readers. The themes covered in January are snow, MLK Jr., penguins and mittens. After reading the passage, students work on answering the questions provided and illustrating a piece of the passage. They could reread the passages for fluency practice as well. Students can write the similarities and differences or cut and paste the given words onto the sorting mat.
