The Confederation Bridge to PEI is a curved, 12.9 kilometre (8 mile) long bridge. It is the longest in the world, crossing the waters of the Northumberland Strait to join Prince Edward Island with mainland New Brunswick. It continues to be seen as one of Canada's top engineering achievements.
