This interactive and hands-on sort activity will allow your upper elementary students to show their knowledge of organisms in an ecosystems food chain in a kinesthetic way! It allows you to challenge your students to think critically when completing this cut and paste to show you what they know. Students can read about producers, consumers and decomposers then apply their knowledge in the sorting activity. This resource is great for teaching, practice or assessment of knowledge.

- Reading Comprehension Passage on Organisms in an Ecosystem including comprehension and application questions at the end.
- Sorting Activity: Students sort definitions of and identify organisms as producers, consumers or decomposers. (There are two levels of the cut and paste are included for your different level learners!)
- Two 6-question multiple choice 1/2 sheets to use as a class starter or exit ticket
- A vocabulary list and review application project where students use the sort words in a diagram, story or comic strip.
