Background: In full disclosure, I am not an expert in myofunctional disorders or therapy or orofunctional myology. I had a handful of students who were just not making much progress, and I wanted to see what else I could do. In researching alternative approaches and strategies, I learned about oral resting posture (or resting tongue position, as I've also seen it called). After reviewing the current literature, I decided I would give it a try. I created these visuals to help teach and remind my students about correct oral resting posture. I hope they can also be helpful to you are your students or clients!
