Each of the 40 prompts comes in four different formats to choose from depending on what your students need. This is a great opportunity to differentiate in your classroom. In this file there are 160 different opinion writing pages. There are 40 topics in total, one for every week of the school year. Topics cover a wide range of subjects... some are generic questions and some relate to seasons or holidays that take place during that month. With the editable option, these pages can be used to make endless prompts to match what your students are learning about.

Use a combination of drawing, dictating, and writing to compose informative/explanatory texts in which they name what they are writing about and supply some information about the topic.

Write opinion pieces in which they introduce the topic or name the book they are writing about, state an opinion, supply a reason for the opinion, and provide some sense of closure.
