1. How long are the comments for each learning skill?
A: Each learning skill comment bank is comprised of an entire page of tiered
comments with different criteria. For each learning skill, you will
find 4-5 different criteria for commenting on.
For example, for initiative, you will
receive 4 separate level comments for each of the following criteria:
- Looking for new learning opportunities
- Demonstrating curiosity and innovation
- Taking risks
- Approaching new tasks with a positive attitude
- Next Steps
2. Will I need to tailor the comments or are they ready to go?
A: All comments are comprehensive, differentiated, and detailed. You will
certainly find what you are looking for! That being said, you will need to be
conscientious about each of your students and determine if and how you will tweak comments to best reflect the characteristics of your own students.
3. Are the comments editable?
A: YES! Comments are FULLY editable and include codes (~name) to make it
easier for you to work efficiently. There is also a newly added google sheets version to make the process even more seamless and smooth.
4. Do these comments include curriculum subjects?
A: No. Report card comments for individual subjects are included in another
product. You can find subject comments here.
5. Can these comments be used for any grade?
A: You bet! These comments were designed to be applicable to all Ontario Grades
1-8 (not kindergarten). Again, you may need to tweak comments to best suit the
characteristics of
your students.
6. I have a hybrid classrooms and/or teach in a virtual learning setting, are there comments for virtual learning?
A: YES! We have thought of everything! There is a Bonus section in this product
which contains virtual learning skills comments for all of the 6 learning skills.
6. I have a MLL students (English-Language-Learners) in my classroom. Will these comments work for them?
A: YES! We have thought of everything! There is a section in this product which contains MLL learning skills comments.
