One Pager Project - Short Story & Novel Assessment - Graphic Organizer/ Examples
- Google Slides™
Description
My students LOVE doing a one-pager project after we finish reading a short story or novel. You could even use this with poetry!
A one-pager project allows students to demonstrate their reading comprehension skills creatively. The graphic organizer (EDITABLE) that comes with this resource assesses students' ability to identify key details and evidence, analyze the theme/ plot of the text, identify figurative language, and more! They transform the information from the graphic organizer into a visual representation of the text!
Included in this resource:
Student Examples of one-pagers
2-page graphic organizer
rubric
8 templates
This is a great way to finish off reading a text! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
PS - I make my students have a one-on-one conference with me after they finish their graphic organizer. I make sure all their information is correct before they start creating the one-pager. This will help avoid a lot of common mistakes students make!
