What educators are saying

Thank you so much! This was an ultimate time saver for me. I was able to implement it in my 5th grade ELA.
The writing prompts were engaging for students. This is great resource to help students practice on demand writing.

Description

Intermediate and middle-grade classrooms are moving toward accountability tests that focus on On-Demand writing. It’s important that our students be able to quickly and effectively communicate through their writing. This means students are developing their writing ideas, responding to a prompt, structuring their thinking, support their thinking with reasons and evidence, and communicating a claim.

In this resource, you’ll find prompts {narrative, inform/explain, opinion} that give students practice reading and responding to prompts. I’ve included sample anchor charts (in color and black/white), 15 total practice prompts, as well as, information about and resources to teach SPAM/SPAT – a strategy for analyzing writing prompts.
