Description

Offline Decoders #2

Your solution to needing an unplugged activity when technology is not available or you would just like to work offline. It's coding that can happen with a pencil and paper.

Students use provided sample web page to write out the code that matches what is shown. As an alternative, all lines of code have been provided in a cut apart format so the activity can be completed as a puzzle instead. This activity focuses on structuring web content.

Offline Decoders are perfect for:

  • Assessment of HTML coding skills
  • Sub plans
  • Coding homework
  • Offline/ Unplugged activities
  • Collaboration
  • A change of pace

Topic: HTML Coding- Content Structure

Coding Skills Assessed: Paragraphs, Headings, Lists

Code.org Connection: Can be assigned after Unit 2 Lesson 4 in the Computer Science Discoveries Course

Includes everything that you need for one activity to be used either way:

  • Sample web page (Topic: Taylor Swift)
  • Two pages for response, one with directions, one without
  • Four pages of content lines and tags
  • One answer key

Please for new worksheets from the series to appear in my store soon! Also, don't forget to check out my Offline Coders which works from Code to creating a web page in a paper and pencil format!
