Number Sense Subitizing to 10 Math Center Clip Cards
Description
What is Number Sense and how does it help my students?
Subitizing helps students to instantly recognise the number of items in small groups of up to four items without counting. These worksheets contain different activities to help students to identify the number of items in different arrangements, from 1 to 10, without counting them individually.
This resource helps students to:
· recognise dice and dot domino patterns
· recognise different finger patterns
· identify and represent numbers using objects and pictorial representations including the number line
These skills help students to develop an understanding of representing whole numbers and starting to recognise patterns within numbers.
With this resource, students develop their understanding number sense and different ways to represent numbers to 10, by placing a clip on the correct number shown on the picture on each card.
This resource contains 48 cards in total.
Ways to count include:
- Ten frames
- Dominoes
- Tally
- Fingers
- Teddies
- Dice
- Counting cubes
These cards can be cut out and laminated to reuse.
Clip cards also help with your students' fine motor skills as they attach a peg/clip to the correct sound for the picture shown.
