Some middle schoolers struggle with notetaking. For them to really learn how to do it well, the skills need to be taught to them.
This resource introduces note taking using an adjusted version of the Frayer Model. It is designed for math class and includes space for examples of math problems.
You can use this resource to help your middle schoolers practice notetaking.
Here's what's included:
1. Sample lesson pages on Sample Spaces & The Fundamental Counting Principle. Your students can read the lesson and take notes.
2. A sample sheet with tips on what to include in each part of the adjusted Frayer model.
3. A sample sheet with notes filled in from the lesson pages. Your students can use this resource to find examples of important information. Your students can also analyze the notes provided and pick out information that should have been excluded. They can also point out things that should have been added but weren't.
4. An empty template of the adjusted Frayer model. Your students can use this sheet to take notes.
