Flexible Implementation

Students can select a reading choice board option to work on as they read a nonfiction article. You also have the option to measure reading comprehension by implementing the activities after students read for post-reading assessments!

This resource includes 2 attractive, modern choice boards formatted in Google Slides. Each choice board features 9 high-interest nonfiction reading activities and assessments! Microsoft Office users can also download this resource as a Power Point file!

Scaffolded for Support

Each choice board option is described fully on its own separate slide. Graphic organizers and handouts further scaffold and support the choice board options. A tech support slide is included with how-to video tutorial links. Students selecting technology-related choice board options will be provided with guidance and structure!

Facilitates Creative Thinking and Critical Thinking Skills

The reading choice board activities range from traditional activities. More traditional options include a close reading handout with guiding questions for informational text analysis. Creative activities are also available - such as the Tweet All About It summary writing option.
