Description

Your students will LOVE this digital, decodable library of SIX NONFICTION Boom Card Books with r-controlled vowels! The books in this library have a focus on r-controlled vowels (ar, ir, er, or, and ur). Students will meet Emma on the first slide. By clicking the audio button, Emma will welcome them to the library and invite them to choose a book off of the bookshelf!

Each of the six books contain real photographs. The topics in this library are: sharks, birds, ferns, corn, the farm, and the park! Each page contains short vowel words with r-controlled vowels. Digraphs and blends are included, but NO long vowel words are included in these books. Sight words can be decoded with the exception of the words: "the", "you", "to", "do", and "of".

The last page of each book is INTERACTIVE!

On the last page of each book, students will retell three things they read by dragging a picture into a box each time they retell. If they do not remember what they read, they can go back and read the book again. After they read and retell, the student will click the home button to go back to the library and choose another book!

*Audio is included on the home screen (library page) and on the retelling slides for the directions. Audio is NOT included on the digital book pages themselves, as we want students to work on decoding the words on their own.

Who is this resource designed for?
