Non Standard Measurement - Length Worksheets for Kindergarten / Grade One

This is a fantastic set of 19 worksheets that are great to teaching Non- Standard Measurement (Length). They are all no-prep printables and are in black and white so should be easy to print and use. I use these worksheets with my Year Ones, so would be most suited to Kindergarten or Grade One Measurement. More details below.

• Order the animals cut out the animals and order from tallest to shortest.
• Order the monsters- cut out the monsters and order from smallest to tallest.
• Who's the tallest - look at each set of the two kids and color in the tallest
• Who's the shortest - look at each set of the two kids and color in the shortest
• Measure the crocodiles - write down how many blocks long they are.
• Measure the pencils - write down how many blocks long they are.
• Measure the dogs - write down how many blocks long they are, dotted lines included for support.
• Measure the trucks - write down how many blocks long they are, dotted lines included for support.
• Measure the ostriches- write down how many blocks high they are.
• Measure the giraffes- write down how many blocks high they are.
• Measure the flamingos - write down how many blocks high they are, dotted lines included for support.
• Measure the carrots - write down how many blocks high they are, dotted lines are included for support.
• Measure the lines - cut out the pencil strip and use it to measure the lines
• Measure the lines - cut out the log strip and use it to measure the lines
• Measure the lines - cut out the key strip and use it to measure the lines
• Measure the lines - cut out the paper clip strip or user real paperclips to measure the lines
• Measure the animals - measure how many blocks tall and high each animal is, dotted lines included for support.
• Measure the ocean animals - measure how many blocks tall and high each animal is, dotted lines included for support.
• Measure the room- choose an object to measure with, use this object to estimate and measure various objects within your room.

I tried to make sure all these non standard worksheets were varied and hope they are helpful to all the different levels in your classroom.
