Are you ready to try an Escape Room event with your elementary students? I have some perfect choices for you and they all feature NO LOCKS! These escape room events all feature tasks that students complete to "unlock" each portion of the escape. After completing four tasks the teams escape. Your prep is minimal - just make copies of the task sheets!

NOTE: Each Escape Room event can be completed in 30-45 minutes.
NOTE: YOUR PREP for each Escape Room includes:
- Copying the 4 task sheets for students
- Some of the escape rooms have a page that is copied and cut apart. (snowflakes, pencil scorecards, cookies)
- Optional copies: scenario and rules sheet, hints, and certificates.
NOTE: This Escape Room does not use real locks. It is paper and pencil only!
THE ESCAPE ROOMS INCLUDED:
For each escape, students complete four tasks. Teams will present their answers to you and receive an item, a stamp, a checkmark, or a problem to solve. They will advance through all 4 tasks and "escape". Each Escape is listed with its task and the item students collect.
- Escape the Maze- Tasks include a letter maze, a pattern maze, a secret code message, and a synonym word search. Students make their way through a paper maze to escape.
- Escape the North Pole - Tasks include a logic puzzle, using idioms, a map grid, and converting expanded numbers to standard form. Students collect 4 paper 'cookies' to escape.
- Escape the Library -Tasks include determining character, setting, or plot, determining the genre of samples given, use of figurative language, and alphabetizing. Students receive 4 marks on their Team Library Card to escape.
- Escape the Blizzard - Tasks include two math tasks, determining categories of given topics, and a secret code message. Students collect 4 paper 'snowflakes' to escape.
- Escape the Principal's Office- Tasks include the use of irregular verbs, homophones, math problems, and identifying countries on a world map. Students collect 4 marks on the team Pencil Scorecard to escape.
- Escape the Candy Factory - Tasks are all math-related. The skills include addition with magic squares, area of rectangles, solving problems in a maze, and multiplication. Students collect 4 marks on the team Candy Factory ticket to escape.
- Escape the Rainbow - Tasks include math problems, using figurative language, reading passages, and correct use of grammar. Students collect 4 marks on the team Lucky Strip to escape.
- Escape the Game - Tasks include using a coordinate grid, a reading passage, matching vocabulary to meanings, and a logic puzzle. Students collect 4 paper basketballs to escape.
- Escape and Help the Environment - Tasks include a reading passage, spelling, a coordinate grid, and multiplication problems. Students collect 4 Earth Day bookmarks to escape.
- Escape the School - Tasks include math skills. Two involve solving problems, one is finding area of shapes, and one is using a graph. Students collect 4 marks on a map of the school to escape.
- Escape the Water Park - Tasks include a logic puzzle, math, reading passage and comprehension questions, and grammar/spelling. Students collect hole punches on the team Water Park Ticket to escape.
