    1. The opening of Stranger Things, episode 1, season 1
    2. The opening of Nosedive, from Black Mirror, Season 3

    For each episode, the pack includes;

    Notes and comprehension questions on each opening sequence of each episode.

    This resource allows students to practice identifying techniques, their effects and how techniques are used together for specific purposes.

    Includes;

    • 1 page of notes on genre, lighting and color to help students understand the genre of dystopian fiction and gothic fiction, and the visual techniques used by the director to create specific effects
    • Three pages of comprehension questions on the opening sequence, broken up into 3 parts.
    • Questions covering genre, camera shots + angles, lighting, sound, color and theme
    • Slide deck to go alongside the worksheets
    • Paragraph writing guide with example on the scene.

    BONUS Google slide decks to go alongside the student workbooks.
